James Bartholomew works from his studio at the Mill House Gallery in Parbold, Lancashire. He finds inspiration from travelling around the country, in particular to Cornwall, Pembrokshire and Western Scotland. James has also produced several bodies of work in France, Tuscany and Venice.
A member of the Royal Society of Marine Artists and also a member of the Manchester Academy of Fine Art. For his seascape and landscape paintings James Bartholomew has been awarded the Charles Peers Award and the Sir Peter Scott Award. James has also been commissioned by the Sunday Times, The British Tourist Authority, BBC Holidays, Bonhams and Christies.
